The art of communication – how to stay positive?

Still after many years I remember bumping into Tony Robbins speech where he stated “Quality of your life equals the quality of your communication”. As a sales person and a leader it has been a skill set I’ve tried to study and develop as much as possible.

During the past year I’ve faced a lot of adversity, and people have many times wondered how do I always stay so positive and it seems no matter what happens it doesn’t change.

The biggest founding I’ve done is that most people always associate communication with speaking to others, and totally forget the most important person they need to communicate with, themselves.

Step down from the dream world

Life is full of adversity, no matter how well you plan your life, career or your business you will be always facing adversity. The question is not when you will face it, but what will you do about the adversity you face.

Being an entrepreneur is the toughest school there is about adversity, since in being an entrepreneur it's something you face daily. You know it already before you wake up and you can’t let any possible adversity to affect the state of your mind. You need to stay positive, always.

The question is not when you will face it, but what will you do about the adversity you face.

For me it seems most people live in the dream world where there is no adversity, and when they face even smallest adversity they can’t handle it mentally.

How to stay positive

If you had prepared yourself mentally for adversity you will face, it wouldn’t come as a surprise. Get ready for it and when it happens don’t let the adversity upset you, but instead control your inner communication.

It’s easy to get upset, but human mind is powerful. You are going to face the shit no matter what, so it requires just as much from you to face it smiling, and when you face it smiling you keep yourself of ruining other peoples days.

You are going to face the shit no matter what, so it requires just as much from you to face it smiling.

Anyone can smile when they have their bills paid and relationships flourishing, but the persons true character is measured on the time of weakness. Imagine the last adversity you faced? How did you react? Could you have reacted differently?

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
